Japan

Japan is an island country in East Asia. It is bordered by China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia. The country consists of four main islands and many smaller ones. The four main islands are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu.

Japan is a very interesting country with a rich culture. Some of the things that make Japan unique are its samurai warriors, sumo wrestlers, geishas, tea ceremonies and its sushi. Japan is also a very modern country. It has some of the world’s largest cities, such as Tokyo and Osaka. And it is home to some of the world’s most cutting-edge technology, such as bullet trains and robotics.

People come to Japan to see the cherry blossoms in spring, ski in the Japanese Alps in winter, bathe in the hot springs, climb the famous Mount Fuji, and to experience the unique culture of Japan with many beautiful temples and shrines, such as the Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto and the Todai-ji Temple in Nara, and some of the best food that you will find anywhere in the world.

When it comes to food, Japan is best known for sushi. But there is much more to Japanese cuisine than sushi. Some other popular Japanese dishes include tempura (fried vegetables or seafood), teriyaki (grilled meat or vegetables in a sweet sauce), ramen, Japanese curries, Katsudon, and miso soup (a soup made with miso, a fermented soybean paste).
