The country is known for its beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and rainforests. Bali is a popular tourist destination, known for its surfing, diving, and resorts.

Indonesian cuisine is influenced by Chinese, Indian, Middle Eastern, and European cuisine. Rice is the staple food, and dishes are often cooked in coconut milk or spices. Common dishes include nasi goreng (fried rice), satay (grilled meat skewers), and rendang (beef stew).
